Privacy Policy.

The short version

TACWAC is a note-taking app with no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and no company server. Crash-scene records live on your iPhone. The only ways information leaves your device are the ones you trigger yourself: an export or share you initiate, or optional sync through your own private iCloud database. HolmMade Products LLC never receives your crash-scene records and never sells or shares personal information.

Local-first crash notes

TACWAC stores your crash-scene notes—scenes, measurements, people, vehicles, property damage, evidence, roadway features, statements, investigative entries, Summary/Cause, recommendations, photos, diagrams, rosters, and exported documents—on your device. HolmMade Products LLC does not operate a server that receives your crash-scene records, and we have no ability to view, access, or recover them.

Optional iCloud sync

If an eligible TACWAC Pro user turns on iCloud sync, supported app records are synchronized through the user's private iCloud database so they can appear on the user's devices. This synchronization is provided by Apple through CloudKit and is controlled by the user's Apple Account and iCloud settings. HolmMade Products LLC does not receive those records through a company-operated server and cannot read your private iCloud database.

Exports and Officer Assistance

Alongside optional iCloud sync, you can choose to export or share scene information. Exports may include Word or plain-text documents, photos, a Factual Diagram in PNG, SVG, PDF, or Pro-only DXF format, or a TACWAC package containing records you selected for another investigator. Packages can include people, vehicles, measurements, coordinates, property damage, investigative entries, Summary/Cause, and recommendations. Once information leaves the app, it is outside TACWAC's control; you are responsible for selecting an appropriate recipient and transfer method.

Photos

TACWAC re-encodes photos saved inside a crash and removes GPS, EXIF, and camera metadata. When you import a photo, Apple's system photo picker is used for the items you select, so TACWAC never has access to your whole photo library.

Permissions

• Location: centers maps, saves coordinates you request, and helps find nearby road names.
• Camera: captures crash-scene photos and scans supported driver-license barcodes.
• Photo Library: uses Apple's system picker for photos you select.
• App Lock: uses your existing iPhone passcode, with optional Face ID or Touch ID. iOS handles authentication; TACWAC never receives or stores your device passcode or biometric data.
• Motion: device-motion readings support the Angle Finder when measuring roadway slope, without a separate permission prompt.

You can review or change requested permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Declining a permission limits only the related features.

Purchases and TACWAC Pro

TACWAC Pro subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store and managed with RevenueCat, a subscription-management service that acts as our service provider (data processor). To validate purchases, unlock Pro features, and restore purchases across your devices, RevenueCat receives and processes on our behalf: a randomly generated, anonymous app-user identifier (TACWAC has no accounts, so this identifier is not tied to your name or email); your App Store purchase receipt and transaction history; your subscription status; the approximate time the app was last used; and basic technical information such as device type and iOS version. This information is used only to provide the subscription service. It is never sold or used for advertising, and TACWAC does not send crash-scene records, names, or anything you create in the app to RevenueCat. What TACWAC does not do

• No user accounts, sign-ins, or profiles.
• No advertising, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics.
• No sale or sharing of personal information, for advertising or otherwise.
• No company server that stores or receives crash-scene records.
• No artificial intelligence or language models writing your work; the app organizes what you enter using deterministic app logic.
• No report writing or records management: TACWAC is a note-taking app. It does not produce, file, or submit official crash reports and does not replace dedicated agency software, policies, or procedures.

Legal requests

Because crash-scene records exist only on your device and in your own iCloud account, HolmMade Products LLC cannot produce them in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request—we do not hold them. Any such demand would have to be directed to you or, for iCloud data, to Apple under Apple's own legal process.

Information about other people

Crash documentation naturally contains information about other people—drivers, passengers, witnesses. That information is collected by you, stored on your device, and controlled by you. You are responsible for having the authority to collect and handle it and for complying with the laws and policies that apply to your work. HolmMade Products LLC never receives it.

Your rights

Because your crash-scene data is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account rather than with us, you exercise access, correction, and deletion directly in the app: you can view, edit, export, or delete any record, and deleting the app removes its local data. We hold no database of user personal information from the app, so there is nothing for us to look up, correct, sell, or share. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. If you believe we hold any personal information about you (for example, from an email you sent us), you may request access or deletion at the address below.

Children

TACWAC is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Retention and deletion

Locally stored data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Settings → Manage Data lets you permanently clear selected categories or erase saved app data and restore built-in defaults. These cleanup actions cannot be undone. Data synchronized through iCloud is also subject to your iCloud settings and Apple's storage behavior; deletions may synchronize to your other devices when sync is enabled. Cleanup does not remove copies you have already exported or shared.
